Welcome and thank you for visiting Micaa’ Thomas’ career website.
I am a junior student-artist-athlete (competitive golfer) at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) majoring in Visual Effects and minoring in 3D Animation and Drawing which are my true passions. My 3D skills are simply in designing and modeling cinematic projects for digital media with various 3D software.
I specialize in Visual Effects and Painting with a keen interest in 3D Modeling as well as being a Lighting Technical Director. The field of 3D Animation and Visual Effects allows me to display innovative and creative methods of connecting with and portraying a dynamic message to my audience. I appreciate seeing ideas prosper, grow and come to life by thinking outside of the box. I am very passionate and enthusiastic about my career pursuits. More importantly, I eagerly look forward to sharing my creative ideas and talents individually or on a results-oriented creative team in the industry and with the world at large.
My primary goal for studying in these various fields at SCAD is to not only master the fundamental and contemporary techniques in Visual Effects, 3D Animation and Painting, but also expand my creativity to display an impressive skill set to enjoy a career with a leading company in the industry.
I am seeking a paid or volunteer position as a Visual Effects Artist and/or other areas where I can contribute significantly to help a company accomplish its mission. I have an imaginative mindset, winning attitude, strong work ethic, thrive in a team setting and I am dedicated to providing creative and innovative design projects.

As a Visual Effects (VFX) Lighter and Compositor with additional knowledge and experience in project management, I have been offered great opportunities to participate in several projects in the industry and at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Through my past work experiences, I have learned how to solve problems effectively, work together with others as a team, and independently. In addition to telling a story with light and balancing the creative and technical aspects of each shot, I specialize in bringing the client's vision to life. My favorite part of VFX and working in a creative environment is exploring and mastering new techniques and applying them to my overall professional growth.
